Doug Gottlieb has never been the smartest tool in the shed. When he was at Notre Dame, where he played ball before transferring to Oklahoma State, Gottlieb got in a little trouble, just a bit, when he stole a fellow student’s credit card and charged up some purchases. That led to him heading to Zero State.
As proof that Doug still has some education issues to work on, this was his response to Kobe Bryant and the Lakers wearing the “I Can’t Breathe” T-shirts Tuesday night.

Add former NBA benchwarmer Paul Shirley’s outrageous comments on Haiti to a growing list of idiots mocking relief efforts for the devastated country. Shirley penned an open letter on a website to Haiti, saying he considers it foolish to contribute. “As we prepare to assist you in this difficult time, a polite request: If it’s possible, could you not rebuild your island home in the image of its predecessor,” Shirley wrote. “Could you not resort to the creation of flimsy shanty- and shack-towns? And could some of you maybe use a condom once in a while?”
In a statement, ESPN said: “The views [Shirley] expressed on another site of course do not at all reflect our company’s views on the Haiti relief efforts. He will no longer contribute to ESPN.”
