Who Let The Dog Out?

Maybe Tucker Carlson realized he isn’t relevant now and never has been.

No Longer Don In Philly

Redskins-Eagles is one of the most anticipated clashes in the NFL on Sunday. It’s the 1st time Donovan McNabb returns to Philly to face Michael Vick and the Eagles. For some strange reason, McNabb believes the Philly fanatics will welcome him with open arms. Ain’t happening dude. Plus, Washington is a 5 1/2-point underdog. They’ll boo you and then they’ll probably beat you.
Anyway, an excellent read by Michael Tillery.

So How Long Do Eagles Ground Him?

Yes, that guy would be Michael Vick. He was balling Sunday in a shootout with Detroit, so now he’s expected to sit behind Kevin Kolb, who is expected to return this weekend after a concussion forced him to the sideline. But how long does Kolb start? Andy Reid doesn’t get the credit (we don’t believe he’s a fool) he deserves, but he sees something in Vick that a whole lotta other people don’t. Think about it. He’s risking his job and credibility on it.
Consistency will be the barometer for Vick. And whether he can gain some of the game he once had. But after last week’s performance, it’s definitely a possibility.

Eagles: Reid It And Weep

The post-Donovan McNabb experiment got off to a bumpy start in the Eagles’ loss to the Packers last Sunday. Kevin Kolb got his head handed to him and Michael Vick couldn’t rally Philly in the waning minutes. And before Kolb left the contest in the 1st half with a concussion, Eagles Coach Andy Reid was rotating the 2 quarterbacks like a college coach unable to decide on which one would be the best alternative.
With Kolb probably out of Sunday’s contest at the Lions as he continues to suffer from a concussion, Vick is the only alternative. A loss in Detroit and Reid’s seat starts getting a bit hotter. Patience isn’t in the vocabulary of Philly fans.

Dumb And Dumber

No one is happier than Ben Roethlisberger to hear the heat is now on Michael Vick.
Michael, Michael, Michael. In hot water again? WTF? You know the commissioner would take considerable pleasure in smacking you around much harder than he did Big Ben? You do know that, right? Seriously Michael, have you not learned to surround himself with competent individuals who might show you the right road to travel? Resist the temptations of the streets? Help a brother out because I’m trying to understand your lack of logic and why you still don’t seem to have a clue after spending time in a federal joint. Are you so stupid to risk your freedom and NFL career over a freaking party?

Tony Dungy Wouldn’t Approve

Playgirl magazine has apparently sent a proposal to Michael Vick, requesting the NFL quarterback pose nude for $1 million to be donated to PETA. Even if Vick gave the offer a passing thought, it ain’t happening. For one reason, Tony Dungy, who advises Vick on plenty, wouldn’t permit it. Image is everything for Vick now. Besides, what would the hypocrites at NFL headquarters say?

Vick Documentary Debuts On BET Feb. 2

The documentary is a 10-part series, with Vick giving details of his infamous dog-fighting operation and his dirty deeds. PETA is already pissing and moaning about the documentary, but PETA is always pissing and moaning about something. Big deal. But maybe series will provide some education to many, as barbaric as it is, what is an accepted sickening practice in many areas of America. And it still occurs every day.
As for as the series goes, not much has been written of how significant this is for BET. Not known as a network for groundbreaking programming, many hope this is a trend of the future. Lord knows it time.
