It Could Be Worst Laker Fans

While the chorus sings in L.A. again about the injury-prone Andrew Bynum, imagine the blues they’re humming in Portland. Greg Oden won’t be ready for opening night and it is unknown when he’ll play this season. He will play at some point, but the club doesn’t know when exactly. The Blazers’ center is coming off surgery after fracturing a patella in his left knee 9 months ago.
Despite being hurt for the majority of time since he was picked ahead of Kevin Durant 3 years ago, Oden says he isn’t a “bust.”
“Is there any proof that I’m a bust?” he said. “All there is proof of is that I have bad luck with injuries. When I was out there on the floor, I think I did pretty good for myself. I’ve never really had enough time to play and actually improve. I think last year at the beginning of the year I did OK, started to head down that path. Unfortunately I had an injury. But I’ve prepared myself all summer to be an All Star and be as healthy as I can be and I’m going to keep doing that until I’m able to do that.”

All Eyes On Him

With NBA training camps set to tip off soon, health issues will again be a focus for several teams and several stars. Kobe Bryant, Yao Ming, Andrew Bynum, Kendrick Perkins and Greg Oden are a few of the players looking to bounce back from injuries. But those 5 won’t be under the microscope more than Blake Griffin. Though he isn’t a star yet in the league, many believe the sky is the limit for Griffin. The Clippers are banking on it. With him, they are a playoff team. Without him, they’re just another Western Conference club playing for the No. 8 spot.

Daddy Long Stroke

I remember Cheech and Chong praising Richard Pryor. Why was Pryor the king of comedy? According to Cheech, not only was Pryor hilarious and someone who could make you cry tears, he had balls. “Because he was the first one to take his dick out on stage,” Cheech once said. Not that we’re comparing, but…is that you again G-Money?
Greg Oden, who is out for the season with another knee injury, but quickly becoming one of our favorite party animals, apparently is bored stiff. Literally. The Blazers’ center released some candid shots of his tools to someone and now they’re being circulated all over the ‘Net. Some folks are laughing, but you’d be surprised in the power of advertising.
