The 9 Group and Palms Casino Resort in Vegas will host an album release party for R&B singer Fantasia Barrino on Friday, Aug. 27. Fantasia will perform tunes from her 3rd album “Back to Me,” which is available in stores now.
She is scheduled to perform at 1 a.m. Friday at Rain Nightclub at the Palms.
Also, In conjunction with the Fantasy Football SuperDraft Weekend Aug. 26-28 at the resort, Snoop Dogg will be the headliner of the 2nd annual Fantasy Football SuperDraft Tailgate Party at Palms Pool & Bungalows Friday, Aug. 27. Following the poolside party, actress, model and former professional wrestler Stacy Keibler will host an after party at Rain. Tickets are $90.25 and include access to both venues. Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps dined with friends Sunday at N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms Casino Resort in Vegas. He topped off the night at the nightclub ghostbar with 6 friends.
Pete Rose also had dinner N9NE. He and a party of 11 indulged on Alaskan king crab stuffed mushrooms and shellfish.

Bobby Brackins spent Friday relaxing at Palms Pool & Bungalows at the Palms Casino Resort in Vegas. He arrived with 5 people and partied in a cabana with a few drinks during the afternoon. Brackins entertained the crowd by performing his hit song “143.” Later that night, Brackins headed to Moon Nightclub with a party of 10. Around 1 a.m., Brackins gave a performance of material off his new CD.
Also in the house: Dwight Freeney dined at N9NE Steakhouse with family. If you’re wondering why Freeney was in town with training camp going on and the Colts having played in Toronto Thursday night, we believe it was due to the death of his grandmother, though we couldn’t confirm that.
Pop rock band Plain White T’s stopped by Rain Nightclub with a few friends. They sat at a table on the main stage and drank Ketel One with mixers.

UFC President Dana White and a friend stopped by Nove Italiano inside the Palms Casino Resort in Vegas on Thursday night. Two Playboy Bunnies joined White, who graciously took pictures with guests.
Also in the house: Corey “Big Hoss” Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell from History Channel’s reality TV show, “Pawn Stars,” dined separately at N9NE Steakhouse. Jack Osbourne, star of MTV’s “The Osbournes,” partied at Playboy Club at a VIP table with 6 friends.

Another packed house of folks indulged in fantasies as the Palms Casino Resort and 9 Group presented the 4th annual Midsummer Night’s Dream – A Masquerade Lingerie Bacchanlia poolside at Palms Pool and Bungalows Saturday night. Model-actress Jenny McCarthy, accompanied by a large entourage, host the affair.
Kevin Dillon celebrated his birthday with fellow actor Victor Rasuk and friends. They partied inside a couple of cabanas next to the DJ booth. Dillon was presented with the honorary Playboy Club key, followed by a specially-designed birthday cake created by premier boutique bakery, Caked Las Vegas.
Others in the house: actor Corey Feldman with 9 others; Vince Neil who sat at a VIP table with friends; Carrot Top; Stacy Keibler; and MMA fighter Urijah Faber.
At N9NE Steakhouse inside the resort, Joe Montana had dinner with a party of 18, including professional poker players, Christopher Ferguson, Erik Seidel and Andrew Bloch.
Also N9NE: Jesse James (yep, that one) with tattoo artist and TV personality Kat Von D (real name Katherine Drachenberg); and hip-hop recording artist Fabolous with a party of 5.

Sean “P Diddy” Combs and Will.I.Am will headline a Labor Day Weekend affair at Wet Republic in Las Vegas. The two artists will DJ and perform as hosts at Wet, one of the city’s hottest adult pool playgrounds, located at the MGM Grand. Combs will be the host on Saturday, Sept. 4. Will.I.Am will host the festivities on Sunday, Sept. 5. In addition, several other DJs will perform during the weekend.

We frequently say the opening weekend for college football is a bettor’s delight. The sportsbooks are all over the map with insane spreads, and if you do your homework, you can frequently land some decent coin.
Consider: Boise State, the little engine that could win the national championship, if you’re buying into what some experts are smoking, opens as a 2 to 2 1/2-point favorite in its opener at Virginia Tech on Sept. 6 (yep, it’s a Monday nighter). Our initial thoughts are we like the Hokies there, but it’s your money, so bet wisely. You like U Dub being a 3-point favorite at home against BYU? We do too and believe the Huskies will post a double-digit victory. Or maybe you’re crazy enough to bet UCLA, which is currently a 1-point favorite at K-State.

Colorful broadcaster Gus Johnson (above with Mike Diamond of the 9 Group) was among the masses soaking up the scene at ghostbar at the Palms Casino Resort in Vegas on Saturday night. Johnson sipped mixed drinks with friends. We’re accustomed to seeing Johnson in a coat and tie. We never would have recognized him in that laid-back outfit.
Also in the house: Jenny McCarthy and a party of 3 dined at N9NE Steakhouse. Boxer Amir Khan, who visited Friday night and attended Saturday’s Juan Manuel Marquez-Juan Diaz fight, returned and indulged in some mixed drinks at Moon Nightclub.

We mentioned Sunday all of the stars hitting Vegas’ hottest spot, the Palms Casino Resort, over the weekend. Now we have a few images to share.
The lineup card included: Nick Cannon, Kevin Durant, Shawn Marion, Mike Bibby, Glen “Big Baby” Davis, Mekhi Phifer, Matthew Perry, Brian Cushing, Pete Rose, Wale, Rev. Run and his daughters Vanessa and Angela Simmons.
Also, Hillary Fisher, a 26-year-old model from Columbia, S.C., was named Miss Playboy Club for August on Sunday night.

After putting on a show and scoring 28 points in Team USA’s exhibition in Vegas last night, Kevin Durant celebrated at the Palms Casino Resort. Durant and his party of 20 indulged in Ketel One cocktails at Moon Nightclub.
Shawn Marion and Mike Bibby continued to party the weekend away at the resort. Marion and Drew Gooden dined with a party of 14 at N9NE Steakhouse before capping the night off at Moon. We’re guessing Gooden, who just earned a big contract with the Bucks, picked up the check.
Bibby and a party of 20 had dinner at N9NE.
Also in the house: Brian Cushing and a female friend for dinner again at N9NE; Pete Rose at N9NE; actor Mekhi Phifer at Moon; and rapper Wale, who gave a brief performance, at Moon.
