While Roethlisberger Skates On Possible Rape, Steelers Put Troubled Holmes On Jets’ Plane

- Ben Roethlisberger avoided being prosecuted on rape charges today for his role in an alleged sexual assault of a 20-year-old college student, but his troubles aren’t over yet. Expect the Steelers’ quarterback to be suspended for his reckless behavior by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. If not, Goodell will show his so-called justice toward other players is incredibly biased. I’ve always believe the legal system should dictate whether a player should be punished or not, but with the NFL’s player conduct policy and Goodell’s hard-nosed approach on it, there is no reason to believe Roethlisberger will avoid suspension.
Meanwhile, Steeler fans must be screaming about yesterday’s trade of wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who was dealt to the Jets for a 5th-round choice. It’s clear the club was anxious to part ways with Holmes, who has had his troubles with law enforcement too, but for a 5th-round pick is ludicrous.

Hoax Or Psycho Big Ben?

-
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is a suspect in the alleged sexual assault of a 20-year-old college student, said police in Milledgeville, Ga., which is about 85 miles south of Atlanta. The woman said she was “sexually assaulted or sexually manipulated,” according to a police report. We’re not sure what sexually manipulated means, but I’m sure we’ll know before the end of the weekend.
The woman and some friends supposedly hooked up with Big Ben and his friends and hit a few bars throughout town. The accuser didn’t know the Roethlisberger’s name, according to the police report.
