Byron: Lord Of Cleveland?

All signs were pointing to Brian Shaw being the Cavs new coach. But the Laker assistant withdrew from consideration, maybe signaling the Lakers (or Kobe?) finally got in his ear and saying just wait a minute.
Byron Scott supposedly is close to a deal with Cleveland. It’s a serious turn of events since Scott practically wished Shaw luck in his new venture, only to have the Cavs (or Shaw) switch gears during the last 24 hours.
Scott supposedly ranks high on LeBron’s list of coaches. Whether that’s enough to entice him to return to the Cavs remains to be seen.
The Lakers? Stay tuned. Phil Jackson is scheduled to announce his plans by week’s end, which of course we’ve said all along, he’ll retire with his 11 rings, ride into the L.A. sunset and eventually tie the knot with Jeanie Buss.
