The Wizards captured the No. 1 pick during today’s selections in the NBA Lottery. Though they’ll get trade offers and we’ll read about plenty of scenarios, there is no way the Wizards deal the pick that will net them John Wall.
Irene Pollin, the widow of Abe Pollin, the longtime owner of the Wizards, who passed in December, wore her late husband’s 1978 NBA championship ring. It worked like a charm.
