You just don’t trade a Super Bowl MVP in the prime of his career for a 5th-round draft choice. So what gives with the Steelers? They dealt Santonio Holmes because he smoked a little weed? Seriously, what’s the real story behind this? They could be watching the Jets celebrate a Super Bowl win next year with all the artillery they’re stockpiling in New York. But the Steelers won’t even make it out of their division, let alone earn a playoff spot. We’re betting they finish no better than .500, if that. But that’s beside the point right now.
Ben Roethlisberger? Can you spell S-C-U-M-B-A-G? We’re anxiously awaiting the ruling by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Will Ben be held to a higher standard than some of the other players who have been in the line of Goodell’s fire? A suspension is a given. But for how long?
