Will Clip Joint Give Him A Buzz?

-
It’s been no secret Mark Jackson wants to coach in the NBA. The Knicks were close to pulling the trigger on him two years ago, but decided Mike D’Antoni was a better fit. A similar situation occurred in Minnesota, where Kurt Rambis landed the job and Jackson supposedly was runner-up.
Jackson, who does color commentary for NBA games on ABC, wants to coach the Clippers. That makes him a unique candidate already. He lives in the L.A. area and once played for the franchise. He definitely would be an interesting pick.
“If the Clippers are interested that would absolutely be an ideal situation,” Jackson agent, Steve Kauffman told the New York Daily News. “They have a good roster and will be a very competitive team for years to come. It’s a great place for Mark to being his coaching career.”
Could Jackson handle the quirky personalities at L.A.’s second city? Could he deal with Baron Davis on a daily basis? Even better, would he be willing to trade the cranky point guard, who obviously has seen his best days, and let the talented Eric Gordon run the show?
