Excuse the hell out of us. We had predicted Cal’s demise after it lost forward Omondi Amoke to a suspension this week. Who would have guessed the Golden Bears would smack around Louisville? It was one of the ugliest victories of the Tournament, but it was a big one for Cal and the suddenly hot Smack-10. The conference is 2-0 against the big bad Big East. It’s not like they beat Syracuse or West Virginia, but it’s still a sweet 2-0 just the same.
Theo Robertson and Jerome Randle carried Cal. Actually, those are the team’s only players.
