Sinking Fast

-
At one point, Texas was the No. 1 basketball team in the country. But lately, the Longhorns haven’t resembled at Top 10 club and a questionable one in the Top 20. The Horns have dropped five of their past seven and in some outings they’ve looked atrocious. They’ve got Top 10 talent, so what’s the problem? Coaching? Rick Barnes is known as a good recruiter, but some question his coaching skills. In last night’s 80-68 loss at home to top-ranked Kansas, the Horns used 11 players (despite that, Damion James scored 15 of the team’s 24 first-half points) in the first half. As ESPN’s Hubert Davis accurately pointed out, that’s far too many. Settle on a tighter rotation and let it fly.
