Hey, He’s A Mondesi Fan Too
- If the national championship is a blowout, as many are predicting, Greg McElroy will be one reason why. Against Florida in the SEC Championship, Mark Ingram did plenty of damage, actually won the Heisman in that game, but McElroy’s play was the reason ‘Bama won. Best game he played all season. But as much as everyone is dismissing Texas, keep in mind it has one of the better defenses in the country. Our early guess is it will focus more on stopping Ingram and the run and make McElroy throw the ball more. Still, the ‘Horns led the country (with Ohio State) in team interceptions during the regular season, so their pass defense isn’t chopped liver.
But this is about McElroy, an L.A. kid who grew up in Texas, but is still a major Dodger fan. He gets major points with us for saying Raul Mondesi is his idol.
