He Comes Clean
- With his highly-anticipated return to the game as a hitting coach for the Cardinals, Mark McGwire took some of the pressure off, admitting today he took steroids throughout his career. It’s only big news because he finally admitted what practically everyone knew. And it’s a slow news day. He be bombarded with questions initially when spring training opens, but his admission now will lighten the load somewhat. Plus, this gives Tony LaRussa two months to recover.
Hall of Fame? Pete Rose will get in before McGwire does.
